Will the cost of flat panel TV’s decrease significantly after the holidays?

-Economic down turn continues and retailers offer deeper discounts
-After holiday clearance events
-Advancements in technology offering cheaper production techniques
-An increase in purchasing thus increased production leading to lower per unit price, due to the digital cable broadcast switch.

i have been watching the prices on HDTVs for a few years now. from 2006 - 2007 the prices dropped by about %50. the prices have remained there for a while now. i would expect prices to ultimately drop after christmas though.

I agree following retail trends, xmas is the busy season they are not going to make drastic changes in their prices until after their busy season. What may happen is tvs my go on a really good sale just before xmas or black friday. Shop around im sure you’ll find something good, and remember most places price match at 110%.
